When I press the auto-up button they go up and then about 1 cm from the top they both come back to about half open. The auto-up button is pretty much worthless on the passenger side. Roll the window down from the passenger side with its button and hold it down once all the way down for 3 seconds or so. Next roll it back up and again hold it up for 3 seconds or so. This resets/programs the window then the driver side button should work.

Ok try a capacitive discharge, make sure the key is off and disconnect both battery cables, then touch both cables together for about 10 seconds. This completely drains all the capacitors in the car and it's just a more effective way disconnecting the battery.
