GAMMA is hard though- for a beginner. Anomaly/EFP is more "mainstream" in terms of gameplay and difficulty, BUT if you like it- then go right ahead! For one- GAMMA disables traders selling weapons, so unlike in Anomaly or all Stalker games and mods thusfar, you can't just waltz up to Sidor and buy a 100% condition G36 if you've got the money.

Solution that worked for me: Go to folder: Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A.\modpack_patches. Copy these 3 folders: appdata, bin and gamedata (from modpack_patcher folder) Go to the original Anomaly folder and paste the 3 copied folders to the main Anomaly folder. Play the game.

It feels more like vanilla stalker, in that factions aren't as expansion hungry and spawn way less commonly. (Like 1 squad per base a day). It allows for regular gameplay in a warfare setting, like still completing contracts to make money instead of going Rambo mode and killing tons of people.
