So the VTEC lobes are blank lobes to shut the cylinders off rather than high lift/duration lobes as you'd typically expect. So technically disabling VTEC on an '09-'15 would disable VCM.

Fuel economy has suffered a little, I get 1-2 mpg less, but it's a good trade off. I was astounded to learn replacing the active engine mounts can cost $1500.
