Feb 14, 2014 · The issue is, basically, if I hand cycle the slide and ease it forward, the slide will get stuck about 1/8" out of battery. I then can push the slide forward the rest of the way. Like I said, it doesn't affect live firing, but the P89 I owned in the past wouldn't get stuck out of battery when doing this, so I wonder how normal this is.

This being my first pistol I didn't know, I'd recently taken down a Glock and you had to pull that trigger. After I was done looking around inside, I pulled the slide back to release the hold and it did not retract. Just now as I sit down to write this, I popped the magazine out, tried it, and the slide retracted back home. What's the theory behind this?
