Act 1 - Spoilers. So I started a new run of BG3 with the idea of a Paladin Oathbreaker in mind, complemented by a Dark Urge run. The main idea was that I would start as a full paladin but have my oath broken due to the murder of Alfira and go down a path of redemption. 1 long rest later, Alfira is dead and I am still a devoted paladin.Oath of the Ancients is one of the strongest Paladin Oaths, but Devotion and Vengeance are good as well. I am currently playing Devotion. I chose it for "RP" reasons, being the helpfull knight in shining armor. Mechanically I think the other two are better, since Devotion gets a few Paladin spells prepared and some cleric spells, which aren't necessarily the best.
