From its inception in 2012, MARCQI has grown to include data from 66 hospitals and surgery centers, and contains over 209,000 fully abstracted cases in its database. The Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) is made up of the Clinical Champions from each of the participating MARCQI sites. They meet at each quarterly meeting. Medical Advisory Committee gives input to the co-directors on quality initiatives, pay for performance measures, and discusses best practices based on the data presented at the meetings.
