Unfortunately, Ice and Snow conditions on the south end of Leech Lake have made all travel unsafe. Slush varies from 6”-24” throughout the area. Additionally, snow levels are 20”-30” deep. New cracks are frequently forming and flooding water onto the ice, probably due to the extreme weight of the snowpack. No travel is advised, of any kind.

Fishing Report: Walleye 6-18 ft of water. We have had success all over the board. Fish aggressively. We have seen people having success with Rippin shads and rippin raps. Make sure you have your set lines out as well. Perch have been a little better in less than 10 ft. You will have to sort through the smaller fish to get to the better jumbos.
