To improve connection speeds, make sure your extenders are using Coax or Ethernet to connect back to the CR1000A, which is something Verizon's extenders have as a built-in feature. If you are using wireless uplink anywhere, your wireless speeds will be penalized.

Plug the first eero into the verizon router with an ethernet cable. Run the setup in the app. Create a new network/SSID. Put the eero in "bridge mode". This lets the verizon router continue to manage the IP addresses and run the firewall. The Verizon extender instructions simply stated to plug the Ehternet cable into a yellow port on the extender, so I simply did that with the G3100 which was updated per the interactive guide instructions. Now for something strange. (1) the G3100 converted only allows wifi connections when hardwired into the main router.

Note that this is a WIRELESS range extender, so the response that someone already posted showing how to connect a WIRED range extender is worthless.
