Security 9 light strike issue resolved, finally! I bought a new Security 9 a few months ago and from day one I had light strike issues with it. Lately it's been 2-3 times per mag which is pretty bad. I'm coming close to having put 1,000 rounds through the gun and here is the problem: It ONLY likes Federal ammo! Federal ammo has had zero jams and zero of these ejection problems!

The Ruger Security 9 is my first "Hammer Style" semi auto pistol. With the advertised "95% cocked hammer" it has me second guessing carrying loaded without the safety engaged. 13 years of daily carry, and you haven't shot yourself yet is a pretty good track record. It's all about trigger discipline.
