Kimber micro 380 problems.
Completely cured a FTF issue on my Micro .380. This slide stop has a slightly different magazine catch tab than the original that came in my Kimber Micro .380. This one completely cured the original’s tendency to lock the slide with rounds still in the magazine. The original would sometimes get actuated by the next round in the magazine.

Nosediving. Have to drop the mag, clear the round, close the slide, insert the mag, and rerack to chamber correctly. One 2nd round chambered OK on its own.
It finally dawned on me that when you guys said you owned "Micro 9" firearms, it also meant that I had the same pistol! To be clear, I have little SIG with a stainless slide and black frame. I also assumed that the handle "Micro" also meant a cartridge I call a .380 ACP. Just got a new Kimber Micro 380, my first semi-automatic, joining a couple of S&W .38 revolvers. I have not shot it yet but have many questions. First. The slide is hard to rack. Welcome to the forum. Others have answered your other questions well. As for racking the slide, it is not about strength, or the gun, it is about technique.

The Wolff feels a little stiffer with the mag assembled. All 7 rounds fit in fine and a 8th round would not go. I also installed a stronger magazine catch spring, sourced from Numrich. It was for a Sig P938 and is about 1/8" longer than the stock Kimber spring and fits with no problem.Driv3r, since you've now mentioned that the slide stop is engaging with rounds still in the magazine I'd suggest you give Kimbers customer service a call on Monday morning and describe the problem to them. Problem was really bad Monday at the range, about every other round. This is my wife's Micro 9 and it gets cleaned and lubed after every range trip. We had some of this problem initially with Sellier&Bellot 124 gr, so we switched over to Fiocchi 115 gr and it was good to go. Monday we were using some Aguilla and Speer …
