The long story is that there are some other things that will need to be changed, so having access to a parts truck makes it a lot easier. The swap is well documented here and many have been done successfully.

If you want to use the ZF 5-speed behind an F250 that had a T-18 ot T-19 BW 4-speed (or a C6) then the simplest way is to use all the ZF 5-speed power train parts aft of the crankshaft flange, meaning use the 12-inch flywheel, clutch and pressure plate that is used with the ZF 5-speed (there are alternate ways but this is probably the easiest).5 Sept 2021 ... Received 6 Likes on 6 Posts. Easiest way would be to find an '89 - '94 F250 (or 350) 4x4 with a 351 and take everything - pedals, clutch master, shifters, tranny, t-case, cross member, skid plate. Be sure to get the tranny hump cover from in the cab too. You'll have to drill holes in the frame to relocate the cross member and skid plate.

I also think I might have a bad bearing because it pops out of 4th gear once and a while. its 7PM and I'm just about to roll the truck into the shop and start tearing it down.
