We use CVK40 from KLR650 and DRZ likes almost same OEM jet setup of KLR. So IMO, oem setup of DR650 shouldn't be too far from what you need. And TM40 comes with 17.5 PJ (and 165MJ) if you buy it from mikuni or wherever. That carb is designed for 400~650 cc single bikes.You only need to remove 6 bolts. 2 seat , 2 tank and the 2 shrouds bolts going into the radiators. Pull the tank with the shrouds attached. Now that I think about it, I guess technically there are 8 and a set screw. Once the tank is off you remove the 2 socket head screws for the top of the carb.The DRZ should come from the factory with an FCR carb. A big bore kit is on par with the power increase/feel of the carb according to the internet. The carb, stage 1 hotcams and big bore will net you 10hp.
