Also if the mag is empty and I put it back in the gun and pull the bolt back it stays open, But with rounds in there on the last shot it won't stay open. This will happen on the first 10 rounds also, So I am eliminating dirt.

I just went through their site and they do not have the new Shooter's ridge mag listed. They have about evrytyhing else that Shooter's ridge makes, but no mag for the Marlin 795. The only mag listed for the 795 is the factory 10 round stainless mag at $14.95.marlin 795 epic massive failure. The Marlin magazine is $16 to $20, so the Mossberg might have an advantage, but the Marlins are in the stores, don't know about the Mossberg. Marlin is Made in U.S.A. I think the Mossberg 702 is made in Eastern Europe, but couldn't find it on their website, if that makes any difference to you. I have the Marlin and like it.

It's shooting a couple of inches to the right, so I apparently need to tap the rear sight base to the left. I have a bunch of 10/22s but also have 2 795s. One was built just before and one just after Marlin was sold and manufacturing moved. Both are good guns. The 1895 in .450 Marlin isn't made anymore and the .450 Marlin caliber is fast sinking into the sands of obsolescence.
