Xcom enemy within.
All useful and fun to play with. The biggest change to XCom were the ability to put your troops in Mechanized Suits and to genetically modify troops to give them extra abilities. The Mechanized suits (MECs), have the ability to change the way you play dramatically. So if Enemy Unknown was getting stale this would greatly enhance replay value.
It seems more like you simply prefer the stuff from EW than you do the stuff from XCOM 2. It seems like you don't even want to like XCOM 2, and are just refuting all points that come up against you. XCOM 2 has way more cool gadgets for your soldiers.
