I turned the key, all my lights work and horn. When I turn on the bike there is a click at the battery and the lights on the dash goes off.

I have a 2008 Vulcan 500 ltd. As far as preformance wise everything is still stock. It has roughly 1400 miles on it and has been service and well maintained. Not a problem at all, until today. I went to run into town and made it aprox 2 miles before it started sputtering like it was out of gas and lost all throttle power.1. Remove the fuel pump, fill it with Seafoam, plug ends and swish around. Tap case with screwdriver. Let sit for a while. Empty out Seafoam. Repeat. Then try your gas in a bottle test again. 2.
