My GF has a 2014 Cruze that has been giving her fits. Its the base model standard with no AC, and currently has approx 78,000 KM on it. So far it has had 2 coolant leaks and 4 oil leaks. They have replaced the head on it once, and resealed the heads and valve covers twice more and its now leaking again.The biggest defect you are fighting is the shop you "payed". If an OEM valve cover is used, and it is installed with care, the valve cover will last at least 4-5 years. Sadly the Gen 1 Cruzes engines run so hot many of the plastic parts (including the valve cover) don't last forever.
