Glock 30s vs glock 30sf.
Bill, a few weeks ago I hit a gun show looking for a 30 Gen 3 and ended up with a used 30SF Gen 3. A friend from work has a 30S. We went to the range and we each shot two magazines from both the 30SF and 30S and I felt the recoil with Winchester White Box range ammo was a little more noticeable in the 30S I was a bit surprised 3 oz. was really much if any difference.

It has slightly more felt recoil than the 30 due to lighter slide and thinner grip. Sep 6, 2014 · With the SF, aside from the obvious selection of magazines you can use (which applies to both guns as the 30S uses the SF frame), the ability to convert to different calibers is a huge plus. With my 30SF, I've got .45ACP, 10mm, and .40 S&W available with no more than a 10mm conversion barrel and 10mm mags.

Unfortunately they come on the 30sf lower, so no Gen.4 option as of yet.The Glock 30S frame is borrowed from the 30SF; a subcompact .45 ACP with a capacity of 10 rounds. The 33 is quick where the 30 is more of a push. The 10 round mag makes a difference for me over the 9 round in control of the 30. The 30SF is fairly comfortable for me; the regular 30 not so much, but the Gen4 is ( which is supposedly the same as the SF). In my area 9 mm is in the $20 range, .40 $28-29, and ,45 just over $30.

With those, the G30 was uber reliable. To make a long story short, the G30 quickly became my favorite Glock. My test sample never went back—I sent a check to Glock and bought the darn thing. I have no problem with my 21sf, only the 30sf gives me some problems. The 30 feels like a brick compared to the 19, even though both guns are almost the same size. I guess thickness difference and weight does matter! Both conceal just as well, but the 19 is a lot more comfortable. My 30 isn't going anywhere though.
