Feeding Florida member food banks support more than 2,400 community-based partner agencies, which provide food directly to individuals and families in need to ensure a hunger-free Florida. Last year, the Feeding Florida network provided over 404 million pounds of food. Of that, over 30% million pounds was fresh fruits and vegetables. The Pediatric Feeding Institute of South Florida (PFISF) opened its doors in January 2019 as the only private practice in South Florida and surrounding areas whose sole focus is the evaluation and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents with various feeding and swallowing disorders using sensory, behavioral and oral motor approaches as appropriate.
