Choose who you are going to be a cunt to wisely. Lock all of your chests. Build small and secure, then slowly expand out. If you build big first, then you will not be secure. Periodically "raid" your own base. Think about the ways that you would break in and where it is easiest to do so. Adjust your build accordingly.
