6075 posts · Joined 2006. #7 · Aug 5, 2008 (Edited) same problem here. bypass the switch, all you need to do is ground the wire coming out of the firewall. the switch is a normally closed ground (that is it makes contact) when the hood opens the ground opens and contact is lost causing the remote start to kill the motor.The dealer installed Chrysler remote start system on my 2006 300 S/RT8 (82208859AB) is not working. Dealership tells me it is not covered under warranty (even though car has 33,000 miles on it.
