Chevy malibu cranks but wont start.

Jul 27, 2020 · 2012 1.4 cranks but won’t start. I went into a store to get a drink came back out and it wouldn’t start. I had someone try to jump me but it wouldn’t start. The engine will turn over but not on. I replaced all the spark plugs the coil pack the mass airflow sensor and the fuel injectors. I also tried starter fluid. cranks but won't start. 2011 malibu lt 2.4l 149,000 miles on it. Problems started with p0011 and p0014. now I have p0011 and p0016. I have replace both camshaft position sensors, intake and exhaust timing solenoids, and replace plugs. Hit the remote start on the key fob and it went through a crank cycle and never started. I got in the truck hit the brake and the start button, crank cycle and no start.It should have just a touch of looseness. If it refused to start with starter fluid, your problem is probably spark timing, not fuel related. Rebuilding the carb will not fix this. Recheck your igniton timing at the distributor, and remember, the camshaft drives the distributor. If spark timing is off, the timing gear could also be off.

That is something that happens over time. Spark and fuel left. Get a spark tester and test to see if you have spark at the plug. Or you can pull one of the spark plugs out, leave the boot on, and have someone crank the car over and see if there is spark. For fuel, just check the fuses and fuel pump relay. Start/Stop cars have Intelligent Battery Monitors that will disable Start/Stop if it thinks a battery is questionable or if codes are set. Most parts stores offer free impedance battery testing that give a good picture of its health.
